It is important for myself to know what is it that I'm eating. So I try to make fresh food any chance I get. This snack was especially useful when my daughter was really small, so I could make sure that what she eats is if not 100 % eco then at leasts it's natural.
BUTTER - 85g
RAW SUGARCANE SUGAR - 80g
GOLDEN SYRUP - 40 to 45 g
ROLLED OATS - 100 g
RICE KRISPIES - 30 g
SALT - pinch
ASSORTMENT OF DRIED BERRIES - 90 to 120g
COCONUT, NUTS (optional) - 1/2 cup
Preheat the oven on 170 C (top and bottom). Grease and line a square tin with parchment.
Butter, sugar, syrup - melt and combine gently. Separately combine all dry ingredients. Remove butter from heat. Add dry mix, combine.
Spoon into the tin and press so it’s flat. You can use a flat spatula or cover with parchment and use your hands.
Bake 25 min till golden. Cool completely, lift out and cut.
